Everything is ready to start the seventh edition of the Head Goal World Championship!
A total of 42 players have signed up for the tournament, divided into 10 teams. The competition will take place in one group, from which 8 teams will advance to the play-off phase. The bracket will be created according to the position in the group, i.e. 1st place in the quarter-finals will face 8th, 2nd with 7th, 3rd with 6th, 4th with 5th. Then, in the semi-finals, the winners of the 1/8 and 4/5 pairs will play each other, as well as the winners of the 2/7 and 3/6 pairs.
As an important piece of information, the rules have changed a bit, from now until the semi-finals, one half of the match will last 10 minutes, and the whole match 20. From the semi-finals, one half is 13 minutes, and the whole match 26. In connection with this, we have also changed the number of minutes required to be played by each player. Previously it was 12, now it is a minimum of 15 minutes.
The captains have already received their team tags and shirt codes, and groups on Steam have been created for each team (if any team would like their own Discord channel, please let me know). Please inform me about your desire to change the match date in advance, they must be consulted with one of the tournament organizers.
